Two young women, their lives meticulously intertwined, are each on a fast paced journey to very different destinations.
a short film about the cracks we don’t see splitting in the rollercoaster that is modern life and how two experiences of one night can be drastically dissimilar.
The concept was to make something overwhelmingly visceral. How do we draw out/ explain what we cannot be directly see in a person?
This experimental short was built around a composed soundtrack that had poem-like intertwined dialogue overlaid. The dialogue is sensical when the characters read together and when their lines are separated into monologues. This was designed to reflect on how often young friendships, especially in women, can be all encompassing but that in reality they are still individuals.
BLINKERS is a film with clues but no clear answers. When something unexpected happens in life we often remember signs we may have missed and we wish to return to singular moments/ watch the film again to spot them.
